Foot length in cm is used to determine your size. Here are instructions for taking your measurement and finding the right size. Standing, place your bare foot on a sheet of paper and trace the outline (or ask someone to do it for you) with a pencil held vertically. Repeat for the other foot. If the measurements obtained are not identical, keep the larger of the two. Find your size using the table below, by looking at which size corresponds to your foot length measurement.

Regarding the width of your foot, we cannot provide you with a table because this measurement is very delicate to take. To determine if you need a foot width option, rely on your usual shoes. If the width of your usual shoes suits you, do not take a foot width option. If you are often tight in shoes in your size or, conversely, if shoes in your size are generally too wide for your foot, choose the custom option in the size drop-down menu.

INSTEP

The instep is the most prominent place on the top of the foot, just below the ankle. This is also a fairly difficult measurement to take accurately, so it's best to rely on your feelings based on your usual shoes. If you find that your instep is stronger or thinner than average, we recommend you choose the custom option in the size drop-down menu.

The Elloa Boot: The Passion of Elegance

An emblematic piece of the brand for over 20 years, the Elloa was designed for lovers of demanding fashion. With her simple form, it allows the raw material to express all its beauty.

This tall, straight-cut boot represents understated elegance and timeless sophistication. This piece of craftsmanship improves with age, acquiring a rich patina that will enhance its aesthetic with every step. Made from excellent leather from the Haas tanneries located in Alsace, and entirely handmade in our workshop in Aigues-Vives by our artisans, these boots are a true French jewel.

Our La Botte Gardiane workshop is located in Gard, France. It has been recognized among the Métiers d’Arts since 2016. We have also been labeled a French living heritage company since 2007.

Size Guide

Upper leather: This leather is emblematic of our history, since we have used it since the creation of the brand. Suportlo, literally "which supports water" is an exceptional leather made by one of the most famous French tanners based in Alsace.
This leather has been retanned with hot grease using the same process for 6 generations. This particular method of tanning gives the leather great flexibility: the leather hardens very little over time, which prevents it from cracking. This tanner uses calves from Aveyron; this is the only one that allows you to obtain such a thickness which allows the leather not to sag on the top and prevents it from stretching too much.
Hot fat tanning gives the leather great suppleness and an incomparable shine. The Haas tannery is labeled “French Living Heritage Company”, like us.

Lining: Only the vamp is lined in calfskin, vegetable tanned and chrome-free. It is a conscious and thoughtful choice to ensure comfort, hygiene and longevity.

Sole and heel: The sole and insole are vegetable tanned. The heel is made of compressed leather.

The little extra: The soles are already equipped with non-slip pads and a cap that protects the heel
